Clinical Program Manager 

Reports to: Executive Director, Clinical Programs
Department: Program Management | Location: Remote or Hybrid

Job Overview

The Clinical Program Manager is a high-impact, field-based role on Sovato's Clinical Programs team responsible for the activation and deployment of remote procedural programs at partner health systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Programs, this person is the primary point of contact between Sovato and each partner institution from program launch through first clinical use. 

The role requires managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in clinical environments, driving timelines across organizations, and operating with a high degree of independence. The Clinical Program Manager works in direct partnership with the designated program manager at each health system, maintaining shared workplans and joint accountability on milestones. 

Primary Responsibilities

Program Activation & Partner Engagement 

  • Own preparation, execution, and post-session follow-up for all structured activation sessions (virtual and in-person) per assigned partner. 

  • Serve as the primary operational counterpart to the health system program manager; maintain a shared action register with clear ownership, status, and escalation flags.

  • Ensure partner teams complete pre-session commitments on schedule; brief stakeholders in advance of every major milestone. 

Technical Deployment & Site Readiness 

  • Track all site infrastructure requirements (network, fiber, IT security review, facility readiness) per confirmed deployment site. 

  • Manage the IT security review process from site confirmation through completion; coordinate between Sovato engineering, device partners, and health system IT. 

  • Own the contract-to-first-procedure timeline per site; identify and escalate risks before they become blockers. 

Clinical Champions, Evidence & Reporting 

  • Confirm and maintain clinical champion relationships from program launch through go-live; support Sovato platform training; manage the clinician roster for each use case; attend and support confirmed cases.  

  • Support team development at partner institutions; coordinate IRB pathway as applicable; track KPI milestones through Year 2. 

  • Maintain partner status dashboards; deliver weekly written summaries to the Executive Director, Clinical Programs; own the risk log for each partner. 

Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree; clinical, health administration, or life sciences field preferred. 

  • 8+ years in clinical program management, health system operations, or MedTech clinical roles. 

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder programs in hospital or health system environments. 

  • Background in procedural or technology-enabled clinical settings (surgical, interventional radiology, radiology, oncology, or equivalent).  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce independent status reports, session summaries, and executive briefings. 

Preferred 

  • Experience with remote, telehealth, or digital platforms. 

  • Background managing IDN or enterprise health system relationships. 

  • Experience supporting clinical evidence generation, IRB coordination, or outcomes programs.

  • Prior experience embedded within or closely partnered with a health system operations team. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in procedural settings. 

  • Ability to travel by car and air (~35%). 

  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs as required for equipment support.

Job Overview

As a Production Engineer at Sovato, you are the guardian of the hardware and infrastructure that makes remote surgery possible. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will design, implement, and optimize the assembly of our specialized network products.

You will manage the full lifecycle of our product portfolio—from initial inventory and kitting to complex configuration and field deployment. Based at our Goleta headquarters, you will work cross-functionally to ensure that every system leaving our facility is a masterpiece of reliability, precision, and clinical readiness.


Primary Responsibilities

Production & Site Development

  • Kit Solutions: Lead the configuration and testing of product kits designed for critical surgical environments.

  • Process Optimization: Design and refine production workflows to improve scalability, reduce errors, and ensure rapid deployment.

  • Validation & Testing: Execute rigorous testing and labeling protocols to verify that all hardware meets Sovato’s strict performance standards.

  • Lifecycle Logistics: Oversee inventory management and coordinate the secure delivery of systems to global customer sites.

  • Documentation: Author and maintain production artifacts, Work Instructions, and tracking logs to ensure a traceable and compliant equipment history.


Technical Support & Strategic Collaboration

  • High-Stakes Support: Provide empathetic, expert technical support for customers, ensuring any field issues are resolved with minimal downtime.

  • Cross-Functional Feedback: Collaborate with the NOC, Engineering, and Product teams to turn field data into product improvements.

  • Operational Excellence: Contribute to technical knowledge bases and playbooks to standardize our global deployment strategy.


Qualifications & Skills

Professional Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience: 2+ years of production engineering experience, ideally within a regulated or high-reliability industry (e.g., MedTech, Aerospace, or Networking).


Technical

  • Network Infrastructure: Proficiency in network configuration, management, and troubleshooting.

  • Security Hardware: Hands-on experience with firewalls and security appliances (specifically FortiGate).

  • Process Mindset: A strong understanding of how to build repeatable, scalable production processes for hardware.

  • Meticulous Detail: A deep commitment to accuracy; in surgery, the "small things" are the big things.
