Rooted in a legacy that started two decades ago
Our history traces back nearly two decades to Operation Lindbergh—when Sovato’s Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Yulun Wang, Ph.D., then founder of Computer Motion (acquired by Intuitive Surgical in 2003), led the development of the ZEUS system, the first FDA-cleared surgical robot used in the groundbreaking transatlantic remote surgery between New York and Strasbourg, France. This was the first telesurgery procedure in history.
Today, Sovato builds on that legacy with a clear mission: to make remote robotic surgery and procedures safely and seamlessly accessible to patients everywhere.
